Pat left California in the early 1960's with his friend Ricky James and the two of them went into business, making surfboards in Cocoa Beach. Original James and O'Hare surfboards are now extraordinarily rare finds.
Over the years, in addition to working independently, Pat has directly shaped for, and done numerous collaborations with, his life-long friend Greg Noll.
